What You Will Do
Teach core and elective courses in Manufacturing Technology, including CAD/CAM, CNC programming, additive manufacturing, and smart factory systems, to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Curriculum delivery must align with industry standards and accreditation requirements set by NBA and NAAC.
Develop and deliver laboratory sessions using Jecrc University’s advanced facilities such as the Smart Manufacturing Lab, 3D printing lab, and metrology center. Supervise student projects in robotics-assisted machining, sustainable manufacturing, and digital twin applications.
Engage in sponsored research under Jecrc University’s Centre for Advanced Manufacturing Excellence, collaborating with local industries in Jaipur’s growing automotive and aerospace clusters. Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national conferences like IIM’s annual events.
Guide final-year B.Tech and M.Tech students in their dissertations, ensuring outcomes are aligned with industry needs and research gaps. Assist in organizing workshops and hackathons on lean manufacturing and Industry 4.0 tools.
Contribute to curriculum design by updating syllabi with emerging technologies like AI-driven quality control and IoT-enabled shop floors. Participate in NBA accreditation processes and outcome-based education workshops.
Collaborate with the university’s Industry Interface Cell to facilitate internships and live projects with firms such as Rajasthan Electronics and Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation.
Serve as a mentor in Jecrc University’s Startup Incubation Centre, guiding student-led ventures in manufacturing automation and prototyping. Attend faculty development programs on pedagogical innovation in engineering education.
Represent Jecrc University at regional and national forums on skill development and higher education in manufacturing. Support outreach programs to polytechnics and ITIs in Rajasthan for faculty and student exchange.
Eligibility Criteria
A postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Manufacturing Technology is required. A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is mandatory as per UGC norms for the Assistant Professor position at Jecrc University.
Candidates with a Ph.D. in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, or closely allied fields from institutions recognized by AICTE/UGC are preferred. Post-doctoral research or industry experience in advanced manufacturing will be given additional weight.
Candidates without a Ph.D. must have qualified UGC-NET/JRF or CSIR-NET in Engineering Sciences with a focus on manufacturing. Jecrc University follows UGC regulations strictly for Assistant Professor appointments.
