What You Will Do
Teach advanced courses in Cloud Computing including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Serverless Computing, and Cloud Security at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Lead hands-on lab sessions using AWS Academy, Azure DevOps, and open-source cloud tools to ensure students develop deployable skills.
Provide academic advising to students pursuing cloud specializations, guiding them in capstone projects, internships, and placement preparation with top tech firms. Mentor final-year projects focused on cloud-native applications, multi-cloud strategies, and cost optimization in cloud environments.
Contribute to curriculum design by updating course content with the latest cloud trends such as edge computing, FinOps, and sustainable cloud practices. Collaborate with the School of Engineering and Technology to integrate cloud modules across programs like B.Tech CSE and MCA.
Engage in academic administration by serving on boards, committees, and contributing to accreditation processes like NAAC and NBA. Represent Jecrc University in national and international forums on cloud education and digital transformation.
Participate in student recruitment activities, including counseling sessions and webinars, to attract aspirants interested in cloud technology careers. Organize hackathons and cloud challenges to foster a culture of innovation among students.
Contribute to institutional research initiatives by publishing in peer-reviewed journals on cloud computing, AI/ML integration, and DevSecOps practices. Guide PhD scholars in cloud-related research areas with access to cloud credits and high-performance computing resources.
Facilitate industry partnerships by coordinating with cloud service providers, tech companies, and startups for guest lectures, workshops, and internship opportunities. Lead applied research projects funded by government agencies or corporate partners in cloud security and automation.
Eligibility Criteria
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field with a specialization in Cloud Computing, Distributed Systems, or Cybersecurity from a recognized university is mandatory. Master’s degree in the same domain with at least 3 years of full-time teaching or industry experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud will also be considered.
