Role Summary

Jecrc University, a premier academic institution in Jaipur, Rajasthan, is seeking a distinguished Associate Professor to join its Department of Information Technology. The Department is renowned for its research excellence in Information Security, and the selected candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to this field.

Day-to-Day Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Information Security, including networking, cryptography, and cybersecurity
- Conducting research in Information Security, collaborating with faculty members, and publishing papers in leading journals
- Supervising Ph.D. students and guiding them in their research
- Developing and implementing curriculum for Information Security courses
- Collaborating with industry partners to develop research projects and funding opportunities
- Participating in academic and administrative activities of the University
- Maintaining a high-quality research profile, with a strong publication record
- Engaging in academic and professional service, such as serving on departmental and university committees, and participating in national and international conferences

Required Qualifications

To be eligible for the position, candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Information Security or a related field. Prior post-doctoral experience will be preferred. In addition, candidates must have a strong research background, with a good publication record, and be proficient in teaching and academic administration. UGC-NET with JRF will be preferred.

Research & Publications

The successful candidate will be expected to establish a strong research profile, with a focus on Information Security. This will involve collaborating with faculty members, developing research projects, and securing funding opportunities. The candidate is also expected to publish papers in leading journals and participate in national and international conferences.

Doctoral Guidance

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding Ph.D. students in their research, providing guidance on research methodology, and evaluating their theses.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position will be Rs.40,000 - Rs.70,000 per month, as per UGC norms. In addition, the University offers research grants to support faculty research initiatives.
