Jecrc University invites applications for the ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR Operating Systems Vacancy in Rajasthan. This full-time position focuses on teaching, research, and curriculum development in operating systems. The role is central to Jecrc University’s Computer Science and Engineering programs, ensuring students gain strong theoretical and practical foundations.
Day-to-Day Duties
Teach core and elective courses in Operating Systems at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Design and deliver lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions aligned with UGC norms. Prepare course materials, assignments, and assessment tools for theory and practical components. Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
Develop and update syllabi to include emerging topics like distributed operating systems, real-time systems, and cloud-based OS architectures. Conduct regular doubt-clearing sessions and mentor students during academic projects. Supervise undergraduate labs and ensure smooth functioning of computing resources.
Postgraduate Students
Guide M.Tech and MCA students in their dissertations and research projects related to operating systems. Assist in identifying research gaps in areas such as memory management, process scheduling, and security in modern OS environments. Encourage students to publish findings in peer-reviewed journals indexed with Scopus or Web of Science.
Facilitate collaboration with industry partners for real-world case studies and internships. Organize guest lectures and workshops with professionals from IT firms in Jaipur and beyond. Support students in preparing for competitive exams and higher studies in operating systems and related fields.
Eligibility Criteria
Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university. NET/SLET qualified candidates will be preferred. Minimum 3 years of teaching or research experience in operating systems or closely related areas. Must have published at least 3 research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Experience in curriculum design and teaching at university level is essential. Familiarity with Indian academic regulations and UGC norms is required. Knowledge of tools like Linux kernel programming, system call tracing, and virtualization platforms is desirable.
