About This Role
Dolphins High School is looking for an experienced Dance Teacher to lead our extracurricular dance programs. The role involves planning, organizing, and conducting dance sessions for students from classes 1 to 12. Day-to-Day Duties
1. Design and implement age-appropriate dance curricula for different skill levels.
2. Conduct regular dance classes and rehearsals with discipline and energy.
3. Choreograph and train students for school events like Annual Day, Sports Day, and Founders’ Day.
4. Organize inter-house dance competitions to encourage participation and talent discovery.
5. Maintain records of student progress, attendance, and performance evaluations.
6. Collaborate with the arts and cultural committee to align dance activities with school themes.
7. Source costumes, music, and props while ensuring cost-effective procurement.
8. Liaise with parents during rehearsals and performance schedules for smooth coordination.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in Performing Arts, Fine Arts, or Dance with a minimum of 2 years of experience in school dance programs. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory. Working knowledge of MS Office and basic video-editing tools is required. Prior experience in choreography for school events is preferred.
