Job Description
Shivaji Public School in Chomu, Jaipur, seeks an experienced PGT Physics Teacher to join its faculty and inspire students with a passion for science. The successful candidate will engage with students from Class 9 to 12, aligning teaching with the latest curriculum standards and exam patterns.
The ideal candidate holds a postgraduate degree in Physics along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. A minimum of two years of teaching experience in physics or a related scientific subject is essential. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be considered favorably for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and deliver engaging physics lessons covering topics from Class 9 to 12, ensuring alignment with the CBSE or state board syllabus.
2. Develop and implement interactive teaching methods, including practical demonstrations, experiments, and real-world applications of physics principles.
3. Assess students through continuous evaluation, including weekly tests, project work, and end-of-term examinations, while maintaining transparency in grading.
4. Collaborate with the school management to update teaching resources, such as lab equipment, textbooks, and digital learning tools, to enhance the physics curriculum.
5. Mentor junior teachers or teaching assistants to improve their understanding of physics pedagogy and classroom management techniques.
6. Participate in school events, science fairs, and extracurricular activities to promote interest in physics among students.
7. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and discipline, ensuring compliance with school policies.
8. Attend regular faculty meetings and professional development workshops to stay updated on teaching trends and educational innovations.
9. Supervise lab sessions and ensure students follow safety protocols while conducting experiments.
10. Prepare lesson plans, unit-wise syllabi, and teaching schedules in advance, ensuring coverage of all key concepts and assessment criteria.
