About This Role
Subodh Global School is seeking a Post Graduate Teacher in Theatre for the senior secondary section. The role focuses on nurturing dramatic arts, stage performance, and theatrical production skills among students. The PGT Theatre Teacher will design and deliver a structured curriculum aligned with CBSE guidelines.
Teaching Approach
Theatre classes at Subodh Global School blend theory with hands-on practice. Students work with scripts, improvisation, voice modulation, and stagecraft. Regular rehearsals and performance evaluations form the core of the learning process.
Day-to-Day Duties
Conduct daily Theatre sessions for Classes 11 and 12 with a focus on character study and script analysis.
Organize bi-weekly rehearsals for school plays and cultural events.
Prepare students for inter-school drama competitions and festivals.
Coordinate with the Fine Arts department to integrate Theatre with visual arts.
Maintain a stock of props, costumes, and audio-visual aids.
Document student progress through performance portfolios and feedback sheets.
Arrange guest sessions with local theatre practitioners from Jaipur.
Prepare students for CBSE Theatre exams and practical assessments.
Who Can Apply
Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in Theatre Arts or Dramatics from a recognized university. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed with Theatre specialization is mandatory. Prior teaching experience of at least 2 years in Theatre is required. Familiarity with CBSE Theatre syllabus is an added advantage.
