Jecrc University invites applications for the position of PROFESSOR - Applied Mathematics in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Key Responsibilities
Teach core and advanced Applied Mathematics courses to B.Tech and M.Tech students at Jecrc University. Prepare course outlines, lecture notes, and assessment materials as per university standards.
Conduct regular class tests, mid-semester exams, and end-term evaluations for Applied Mathematics subjects. Maintain academic records, attendance registers, and student feedback in compliance with university policies. Participate in curriculum design and syllabus revision for UG and PG programs in Engineering and Applied Sciences.
Engage in applied research projects aligned with Jecrc University’s focus areas. Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus or Web of Science. Present research outcomes at national and international conferences in Mathematics and related fields.
Postgraduate Students
Guide M.Tech students in their dissertation work and project assignments. Supervise at least two students per academic year in their final-year research projects. Evaluate project reports, conduct viva-voce examinations, and provide constructive feedback for academic growth.
Organize seminars and workshops on advanced topics in Applied Mathematics for postgraduate students. Encourage participation in national-level competitions like the Inter-University Mathematics Olympiad. Facilitate interdisciplinary research collaborations with departments such as Computer Science and Data Analytics.
Required Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics or a closely related field with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university. At least 5 years of full-time teaching experience at the postgraduate level in a UGC-recognized institution. NET/SLET qualified candidates are preferred; others must meet UGC Assistant Professor eligibility criteria.
Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed journals with a cumulative impact factor above 10. Evidence of funded research projects or consultancy assignments in Applied Mathematics will be advantageous. Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, or R for computational mathematics is desirable.
