Role Summary:
The Department of Physics at Jecrc University, Jaipur, Rajasthan is inviting applications for a PROFESSOR position in Applied Physics. The Department is recognized for its research excellence and has a strong reputation for producing high-quality research in the field of Applied Physics. As a PROFESSOR, you will be expected to contribute to the growth and development of the Department.
What You Will Do:
- Teach and mentor students in Applied Physics at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Conduct research in Applied Physics and publish papers in internationally recognized journals.
- Supervise Ph.D. students and guide them in their research projects.
- Develop and implement new courses and curricula in Applied Physics.
- Collaborate with faculty members from other departments to develop interdisciplinary research projects.
- Participate in academic governance and contribute to decision-making processes at the University level.
- Participate in administrative and committee work to contribute to the development of the University's academic programs.
Who Can Apply:
- Ph.D. in Applied Physics or a related field is mandatory.
- Postdoctoral experience in Applied Physics or a related field is preferred.
- UGC-NET with JRF is required for Assistant Professor positions; however, for Professor positions, Ph.D. is mandatory.
- Candidates with a strong research background and a proven track record of publication in internationally recognized journals are encouraged to apply.
Research Opportunities:
- Collaborate with researchers from other departments and institutions to develop interdisciplinary research projects.
- Participate in funded research projects and secure grants from national and international funding agencies.
- Publish papers in internationally recognized journals and present research at national and international conferences.
- Develop and implement new research projects and programs in Applied Physics.

Research Leadership:
- Guide doctoral students in their research projects and provide mentorship and guidance.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on Ph.D. theses and dissertations.
- Participate in the development of research policies and guidelines at the University level.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement research programs in Applied Physics.
