Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
* Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Broadcast Journalism, including News Writing, Anchoring, and Reporting.
* Conduct research in Broadcast Journalism and publish papers in reputable journals.
* Supervise Ph.D. students and guide them in their research projects.
* Develop and implement new courses and programs in Broadcast Journalism.
* Collaborate with colleagues from other departments to develop interdisciplinary research projects.
* Participate in departmental and university-level administrative activities.
* Organize workshops, seminars, and conferences on Broadcast Journalism.
* Develop and maintain industry relationships to provide opportunities for students.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Broadcast Journalism or a related field. A post-doctoral experience will be preferred. The candidate should have a good understanding of UGC-NET and JRF qualifications. Jecrc University follows UGC norms for university recruitment.
Academic Projects
The selected candidate will be expected to develop and lead collaborative research projects with industry partners and other academic institutions. The candidate will also be expected to secure research grants to support their research projects. Jecrc University provides opportunities for faculty members to publish their research in reputable journals and present their work at national and international conferences.
Doctoral Guidance
The successful candidate will be expected to guide doctoral students and evaluate their theses. The candidate will also be expected to develop and implement a Ph.D. program in Broadcast Journalism.
Salary and Benefits
The selected candidate will be offered a salary of Rs.60,000 - Rs.89,000 per month as per UGC norms. The candidate will also be eligible for research grants and other benefits as per Jecrc University's policy.
