Key Responsibilities

Guide final-year projects in CAD/CAM, focusing on real-world industrial applications and innovative solutions. Mentor students in software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, and CNC programming. Collaborate with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance and hands-on training.
Engage in continuous curriculum updates to include emerging technologies such as generative design, additive manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 tools. Organize workshops, seminars, and guest lectures by CAD/CAM experts from academia and industry. Participate in academic committees and contribute to strategic planning for the department.
Master Level Teaching
Teach advanced courses at the master’s level, including Advanced CAD/CAM, Finite Element Analysis, and Computer-Aided Manufacturing. Supervise M.Tech dissertations with a focus on research publications and patentable innovations. Encourage interdisciplinary projects linking CAD/CAM with robotics, IoT, and smart manufacturing.
Provide guidance on research methodology, data analysis, and thesis writing to master’s students. Facilitate collaborations with research labs and industries for field visits and internships. Support students in presenting their work at national and international conferences.
Who Can Apply
Candidates with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university are eligible. A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals on CAD/CAM topics is required. NET/SLET qualification is mandatory if Ph.D. is not completed, as per UGC guidelines.
Minimum 5 years of full-time teaching experience at the postgraduate level in CAD/CAM or allied areas is essential. Industry experience in CAD/CAM implementation will be preferred. Experience in curriculum development and accreditation processes (NBA/NAAC) is desirable.
