Job Overview
The Department of Computer Science at Jecrc University is expanding its Computer Vision faculty to strengthen research and teaching in this high-impact domain. What You Will Do
Teach advanced courses in Computer Vision, including deep learning for vision, 3D reconstruction, and image processing, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Supervise B.Tech, M.Tech, and M.Sc projects aligned with Computer Vision applications. Lead research in cutting-edge areas such as object detection, semantic segmentation, and generative models with a focus on real-world impact.
Publish findings in high-impact journals such as IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, Pattern Recognition, and Computer Vision and Image Understanding. Present research outcomes at national and international conferences, including CVPR, ICCV, and ICVGIP. Develop course materials, lab modules, and MOOCs to enhance student engagement and industry readiness.
Collaborate with faculty across engineering, AI, and healthcare to initiate interdisciplinary projects and secure external funding. Guide doctoral students in their thesis work, ensuring timely progress and publication in Scopus/WoS indexed journals. Contribute to curriculum design for new programs in AI and Data Science at Jecrc University.
Eligibility Criteria
A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field with specialization in Computer Vision is mandatory. Post-doctoral research experience is preferred, especially in image processing or machine learning applications. Candidates must have cleared UGC-NET with JRF or hold a Ph.D. to qualify under university norms.
Experience in guiding M.Tech dissertations or equivalent research supervision is required. Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow is essential. Exposure to real-world datasets and deployment scenarios will be an added advantage.
Academic Projects
