Generative Ai - Professor Vacancy in Jaipur, Rajasthan
JECRC University
Job Description
Job Overview
Jecrc University’s Department of Computer Science & Engineering invites applications for the position of Professor in Generative AI. The department is known for its strong research output in machine learning, natural language processing, and AI-driven applications. With ongoing collaborations with industry leaders and government agencies, the department maintains a robust reputation in cutting-edge AI research.
Faculty members contribute to national and international conferences, publish in high-impact journals, and lead funded research projects. The Generative AI group at Jecrc University focuses on transformer models, diffusion networks, synthetic data generation, and ethical AI development.
What You Will Do
Teach advanced undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Generative AI, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, and neural architecture design. Curriculum design will include modules on ethical AI, bias mitigation, and real-world deployment scenarios.
Engage in high-impact research in generative models, publishing in peer-reviewed journals such as IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, Pattern Recognition, and ACM Computing Surveys. Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration with departments in data science, robotics, and digital humanities.
Supervise Ph.D. and M.Tech. students in their thesis work, guiding them through literature review, model development, and experimental validation. Regular progress reviews and manuscript preparation support will be part of the mentorship.
Organize workshops, guest lectures, and hackathons on Generative AI in partnership with tech companies like Infosys, TCS, and local startups in Jaipur. These events will help bridge the gap between academia and industry practice.
Collaborate with national labs and international universities for joint research initiatives and co-authored publications. Focus areas may include multilingual text generation, medical image synthesis, or synthetic code generation.
Apply for extramural research grants from DST, SERB, MeitY, and industry partners. Jecrc University encourages faculty to secure funding that supports student stipends, GPU clusters, and lab infrastructure.
Review and evaluate doctoral theses, research proposals, and grant applications for internal and external bodies. Participation in academic committees will be expected.
Contribute to curriculum development for new programs in AI, data science, and cybersecurity, aligning with UGC and AICTE guidelines. Regular updates to course content will ensure relevance in a fast-evolving field.
Engage with the local startup ecosystem in Jaipur’s Mahindra World City and JECRC Foundation initiatives, providing mentorship and technical guidance to emerging ventures.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field from a recognized university. A minimum of 5 years of post-Ph.D. teaching and research experience is required for the Professor position at Jecrc University.
Candidates with a Ph.D. must have a strong publication record in Generative AI, including papers in Q1 journals and top-tier conferences like NeurIPS, ICML, or ICLR. Evidence of sustained research funding is desirable.
Those without a Ph.D. but holding an M.Tech. or equivalent with UGC-NET/JRF qualification and 8 years of experience may be considered for Associate Professor roles as per UGC norms.
Preference will be given to candidates with post-doctoral research experience, industry collaborations, or leadership roles in AI research labs.
Familiarity with Indian higher education policies, NAAC accreditation processes, and AICTE norms is advantageous for seamless integration into Jecrc University’s academic framework.
Academic Projects
Jecrc University encourages faculty to lead and participate in funded projects under DST’s SERB-POWER, MeitY’s AI Mission, and industry-sponsored schemes. Recent projects have focused on generative models for Rajasthani language processing and AI-driven heritage conservation.
Collaborative initiatives with IITs, IIITs, and international universities (e.g., University of Birmingham, UK) have resulted in joint publications and student exchange programs.
The university provides seed funding for exploratory research in generative AI, with opportunities to scale successful projects into larger grant proposals.
Faculty members are expected to publish at least 2 peer-reviewed papers annually in recognized journals and present findings at national and international conferences.
Doctoral Guidance
As a Professor at Jecrc University, you will guide doctoral students through their entire research journey—from proposal defense to thesis submission. Regular seminars and milestone reviews ensure progress and quality.
You will serve as an external examiner for Ph.D. theses at other institutions, contributing to academic standards and peer learning networks across Rajasthan.
Mentorship extends to helping students secure internships at companies like Adobe Research, Google Research India, or local AI startups in Jaipur’s IT ecosystem.
What You Get
The monthly salary for this full-time Professor position in Generative AI at Jecrc University is Rs.60,000 to Rs.89,000, as per UGC norms. Additional research grants and project allowances are available based on performance and funding secured.
Faculty members receive support for attending international conferences, including travel and registration grants. Jecrc University also offers subsidized on-campus housing and medical insurance.
Professional development opportunities include sabbatical leaves, visiting scholar programs, and leadership training through the JECRC Foundation.
