Key Responsibilities

Provide academic mentorship to LL.M. and Ph.D. scholars in Human Rights Law, guiding their research proposals, thesis writing, and publication strategies. Organize moot court competitions and client counseling sessions to enhance practical legal skills among students.
Lead curriculum review committees to integrate emerging issues like climate justice and AI ethics into the law curriculum. Collaborate with the Examination Cell to design fair and challenging assessment methods for law students.
Participate in university-wide academic administration, including faculty recruitment panels, board of studies meetings, and senate committees. Represent Jecrc University at national and international conferences on human rights law and legal education.
Required Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Law with specialization in Human Rights Law from a UGC-recognized university is mandatory for this PROFESSOR position. Candidates must have at least five years of full-time teaching experience in law, preferably at the postgraduate level.
Publications in indexed journals on human rights, constitutional law, or international humanitarian law are essential. Experience in guiding doctoral research and securing research grants will be given preference.
NET/SLET qualification may be considered for Assistant Professor roles, but Ph.D. is mandatory for the Professor cadre as per UGC norms. Professional experience in legal practice, NGOs, or judicial clerkships enhances eligibility.
