PROFESSOR - Industrial Engineering in Jaipur, Rajasthan | University Recruitment
Role Summary

Day-to-Day Duties
Teach core and elective courses in Industrial Engineering at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including subjects like Operations Research, Production Planning, and Quality Control. Prepare course materials, conduct lectures, and evaluate student performance through assignments and examinations. Maintain updated syllabi aligned with AICTE and UGC standards for Industrial Engineering programs.
Lead research projects funded by government agencies or industry partners, focusing on real-world problems in Rajasthan’s manufacturing and logistics sectors. Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences to enhance the university’s academic reputation.
Guide Ph.D. scholars in their research work, from topic selection to thesis submission, ensuring timely completion within university norms. Serve as a member on doctoral committees and contribute to viva voce examinations for research scholars across departments.
Eligibility Criteria
A Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized university is mandatory for this position. Post-doctoral research or industry experience in manufacturing or operations management is preferred. Candidates with UGC-NET with JRF or equivalent qualifications will be given preference, as per UGC norms for university faculty appointments.
Academic Projects
Develop and lead collaborative projects with local industries in Jaipur, such as automation in MSMEs or energy-efficient process design in textile units. Apply for grants from DST, AICTE, or Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board to fund applied research initiatives. Encourage students to participate in these projects to enhance their practical exposure and research skills.
Maintain an active record of journal publications in Scopus or Web of Science indexed journals, contributing to the university’s research metrics. Organize workshops and seminars with industry experts to bridge the gap between academic theory and industrial practice.
Doctoral Guidance
Guide doctoral students in defining research problems, designing methodologies, and analyzing data specific to Industrial Engineering challenges. Perks and Pay
The position offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs.60,000 to Rs.89,000, as per UGC norms for Professor roles in state private universities. Additional research grants and allowances are available for approved projects, supporting conference participation and academic travel.
