Role Summary:
Jecrc University, a premier institution in Jaipur, Rajasthan, invites applications for the position of PROFESSOR in the Department of Mass Communications, with a focus on Photojournalism. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Photojournalism, including courses on visual storytelling, documentary photography, and multimedia journalism.
- Develop and maintain a vibrant research agenda, with a focus on publishing research papers in top-tier journals and presenting at national and international conferences.
- Supervise Ph.D. students in the field of Photojournalism, guiding them through the research process and helping them produce high-quality theses.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop new courses and programs in Photojournalism, aligning with the department's strategic goals.
- Participate in departmental and university-wide service activities, such as curriculum development, program assessment, and faculty governance.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements in Photojournalism, incorporating them into teaching and research.
- Engage with the media industry and other external partners to enhance the department's reputation and provide opportunities for students.
- Participate in the development of research grants and proposals to secure funding for Photojournalism projects.
Required Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in Photojournalism or a related field is mandatory. A post-doctoral experience is preferred.
- Possession of UGC-NET with JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) is desirable.
- The applicant should have a strong academic background, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching and research.
- Strong research record, with publications in top-tier journals and presentations at national and international conferences.
Research Opportunities:

Salary and Benefits:
- Salary: Rs.60,000 - Rs.89,000 per month, as per UGC norms.
- Research grants: The candidate will be eligible for research grants and proposals, with support from the department and university administration.
