PRT Dance Teacher Job in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan | School Recruitment
The reality of this role
At Sainik School Jhunjhunu you will conduct daily dance classes for Primary and Middle sections, guiding students through basic steps, rhythmic exercises and cultural performances. The day involves preparing the studio, coordinating with the physical education department and supervising rehearsals for school functions. You will also mentor students for inter‑school competitions and maintain attendance records.
What you will actually do
- Plan and deliver age‑appropriate dance curriculum for classes from Class I to VIII.
- Demonstrate techniques in classical, folk and contemporary styles relevant to Rajasthan’s cultural heritage.
- Organize weekly practice sessions and quarterly showcases for parents and staff.
- Assess student progress and maintain individual performance logs.
- Collaborate with art and physical education teachers to integrate dance with other subjects.
- Prepare costumes and props for school events and ensure safety standards in the studio.
- Conduct occasional workshops with external artists for skill enrichment.
- Participate in the Dance Teacher Recruitment in Rajasthan drives and school cultural committees.
Who can do this job
A graduate with B.Ed or D.El.Ed in Dance or Physical Education, minimum three years of teaching experience in a school setting. TET or CTET qualification is preferred. Candidates must have a valid teaching certificate and be comfortable working in a residential school environment.
