English (TGT) Vacancy in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan
SAINIK SCHOOL JHUNJHUNU
Job Description
Sainik School Jhunjhunu is where discipline meets creativity, and tradition shapes the future. Our campus in Jhunjhunu blends the rigour of a premier institution with a culture that values warmth, collaboration, and pride in service. Teachers here don’t just deliver lessons; they build character, inspire discipline, and foster lifelong learning among young cadets.
Working at Sainik School Jhunjhunu means being part of a close-knit community where every teacher is respected and supported. You’ll find classrooms that encourage discussion, not just instruction, and a leadership that listens and responds. There’s a strong focus on holistic development—whether it’s through literary societies, debate clubs, or mentoring sessions that go beyond the textbook.
Your role will shape the English language skills and literary appreciation of cadets in Grades 6 to 10. You’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons in grammar, literature, and composition, aligning with CBSE standards. Conduct regular assessments to track progress and identify areas needing support. Organise school-level literary events like declamations, quizzes, and essay competitions to nurture expression. Collaborate with other TGTs to integrate English with school-wide initiatives such as SUPW and value education. Maintain discipline during classes and school functions, reinforcing the school’s code of conduct. Participate in parent-teacher meetings and provide constructive feedback on student development. Contribute to house activities and sports events to strengthen cadet morale.
We look for someone who loves English not just as a subject, but as a gateway to ideas and identity. A postgraduate in English with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed is essential. Prior experience of at least three years in teaching English at the secondary level is preferred. Familiarity with CBSE patterns and an ability to connect with young learners in a boarding environment will help you thrive.
As part of the team, you’ll receive a competitive salary between Rs.23,000 and Rs.50,000 per month based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include government-backed provident fund, medical reimbursement for self and dependents, and subsidised canteen facilities on campus. You’ll also enjoy access to the school library, sports facilities, and in-service training programmes.
To join us, send your updated CV, mark sheets, teaching certificates, and a brief note on your teaching philosophy to the HR office at Sainik School Jhunjhunu. We look forward to welcoming a passionate English Teacher who can inspire cadets and enrich our school community.
