Role Summary
The PRT Art And Craft Teacher will plan and deliver weekly Art And Craft sessions for grades 1 to 5, integrating local Rajasthani motifs and seasonal themes into the curriculum. You will maintain an inventory of materials, document student progress through portfolios, and collaborate with the PT team on annual exhibitions held in the school courtyard.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare weekly lesson plans aligned to NCERT Art Education Framework and local cultural calendar.
Organise monthly “Art Wall” competitions where students display handmade crafts inspired by Kota’s forts and havelis.
Conduct simple material-cost audits and submit requisitions to the administrative office before the start of each term.
Demonstrate techniques such as Madhubani outlines, block printing, and clay coil pots using low-cost, eco-friendly supplies.
Maintain a visible progress chart in the classroom showing each child’s growth from lines to landscapes.
Arrange quarterly parent-art sessions where families create collaborative murals in the school garden.
Coordinate with the librarian to source picture books that connect art history to Rajasthan’s royal miniature tradition.
Keep the art room tidy, sanitise shared tools, and log consumable stock levels every Friday.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduate in Fine Arts, Craft Design, or related discipline from a recognised university.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed with Art Education as a teaching subject.
Minimum three years of hands-on Art And Craft Teacher experience in primary grades.
Familiarity with Rajasthani folk art forms such as Phad paintings or blue pottery is advantageous.
Basic Hindi and English communication skills to explain steps clearly to young learners.
