TGT English Teacher – Dunes Academy Sr. Sec. School, Phalodi, Rajasthan
The school is looking for a full‑time TGT English Teacher to join Dunes Academy Sr. Sec. School in Phalodi. The role involves delivering the English curriculum to classes IX and X, fostering language skills and critical thinking among students.
Role Responsibilities
The teacher will plan and conduct engaging English lessons that align with the CBSE syllabus, using a mix of textbooks, multimedia resources and interactive activities. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, marking assignments, and providing constructive feedback to help students improve reading, writing, speaking and listening abilities. Classroom management is essential; the teacher must maintain discipline while creating a supportive environment that encourages participation. Regular assessments, periodic tests and term examinations will be organized, with results analysed to identify learning gaps and devise remedial strategies. The teacher will also coordinate with the department head and fellow staff for interdisciplinary projects, school events and parent‑teacher meetings, ensuring clear communication of student progress. Extra‑curricular duties may involve supervising the school literary club, conducting debate sessions or assisting in the organization of cultural programs that promote English language use.
Eligibility
Candidates should possess a postgraduate degree in English or a related discipline, complemented by a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. A minimum of two years of teaching experience at the secondary level is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be considered an advantage. Strong command of English, effective pedagogical skills and the ability to engage adolescents are essential.
