About This Role

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and maintain the school library’s daily operations, including cataloguing, issuing, and returning of books.
2. Organise and curate age-appropriate reading materials for cadets and staff at Bhartiya Sainik School Rajasthan.
3. Maintain accurate records of book inventory, issuance, and stock updates using digital or manual systems.
4. Facilitate special reading programs and support academic projects by providing relevant reference material.
5. Ensure the library environment is clean, secure, and conducive to study and research.
6. Coordinate with vendors for timely procurement of new books and educational resources.
7. Assist in digital archiving and preservation of rare or valuable documents within the collection.
8. Promote reading habits among students through interactive sessions and displays.
Required Qualifications
Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university is mandatory. A diploma or certification in Library Science is preferred. Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office and library management software is necessary. Prior experience in a school or residential institution library is advantageous.
