Key Responsibilities
Teach Social Science subjects across grades, designing lesson plans that align with the curriculum while adapting teaching methods to diverse learning needs. Engage students through interactive activities, field trips, and real-world examples to deepen understanding of historical, geographical, and political concepts.
Plan and conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve. Collaborate with the school management to implement innovative teaching strategies and stay updated on educational trends in Social Science.
Maintain a supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, respect, and a growth mindset among students. Prepare and submit daily lesson plans, progress reports, and attendance records as required by the school.
Qualifications
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or a related field, followed by a postgraduate qualification in Social Science or Education. Possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) to qualify for the TGT position.
Experience
Proven teaching experience of at least four years in Social Science, preferably at the secondary level. Familiarity with state-specific syllabi and examination patterns for Social Science subjects is advantageous.
Salary and Employment Details
The selected candidate will be offered a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 40,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The position is full-time and based in Melli, Namchi, Sikkim.
