Preparing engaging classroom activities, experiments, and project-based learning modules to enhance student understanding.
Assessing student performance through regular evaluations, quizzes, and practical exams, while providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborating with other subject teachers to integrate biology concepts into interdisciplinary projects and cross-curricular activities.
Supporting students in extracurricular biology clubs or science fairs, fostering a passion for the subject beyond the classroom. Maintaining up-to-date resources, lab equipment, and digital tools to facilitate effective teaching and learning.
Qualification and Experience
A postgraduate degree in Biology or a related field with at least two years of teaching experience in high school or equivalent educational settings. Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is mandatory for this position.
A valid Teaching Eligibility Test certificate, such as TET or CTET, is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills in English and Tamil are essential, along with the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit students from diverse backgrounds.
