Daily Responsibilities

Collaborate with the school’s curriculum team to align History teaching with the latest syllabus updates and educational standards.

Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and maintain lesson resources, including slides, worksheets, and project ideas to enhance classroom learning. Attend departmental meetings to discuss teaching strategies, student performance trends, and ways to improve History education at Billabong High International School | Erode. Participate in school events, such as history fairs or cultural programs, to promote interest in the subject among students and parents. Ensure compliance with school policies regarding attendance, discipline, and academic integrity.

Periodic Responsibilities
Conduct periodic reviews of student assignments and exams to assess understanding and identify areas needing extra attention. Work with the school’s administrative team to update attendance records, grade reports, and other academic documentation accurately. Represent the History department in school-wide initiatives, such as parent-teacher interactions or academic workshops, to foster a collaborative learning environment.

Qualification and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in History or a related discipline. Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) as per school requirements. Experience in teaching History at the secondary level is mandatory, with at least two years of relevant teaching experience. A Teaching Eligibility Test (TET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) certificate is preferred but not mandatory for this position.

Salary and Location
