Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated TGT Economics Teacher to join our team at Rojavanam International School Tamil Nadu. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Economics to students in grades 9-12, and will be expected to contribute to the development of our Economics curriculum and assessment frameworks. This is an exciting opportunity for an Economics teacher who is passionate about their subject and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver engaging Economics lessons to students in grades 9-12, using a range of teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of diverse learners.
2. Develop and implement assessments and evaluations to measure student learning and progress in Economics.
3. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the Economics curriculum and assessment frameworks.
4. Provide feedback and guidance to students on their Economics assignments and projects.
5. Stay up-to-date with developments in Economics education and incorporate new ideas and approaches into teaching practice.
6. Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, and support the well-being and academic success of all students.
7. Participate in school-wide initiatives and events, and contribute to the development of a vibrant and dynamic school community.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and assessment results.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a post-graduate degree in Economics or a related field, and hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. TET or CTET certification would be an advantage, but is not essential. The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of teaching experience, and a proven track record of teaching Economics to students in grades 9-12.
Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate will be offered a salary of Rs.25,000 - Rs.45,000 per month, plus a range of benefits and incentives.
