Position Summary

Reporting and Scope
The teacher will report to the Head of Department – English and will be responsible for a class of 30‑35 students.
Core Duties
Curriculum Delivery
- Design and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the state board syllabus.
- Conduct regular assessments, provide feedback, and maintain accurate student records.
- Organize debates, essay competitions and reading clubs to enhance language skills.
Student Support
- Offer remedial coaching for learners needing extra help.
- Guide students in project work, creative writing and oral presentations.
- Communicate progress and concerns to parents during meetings and through reports.
Co‑Curricular Contribution
- Participate in school functions, cultural programmes and inter‑school English events.
- Assist in the preparation of school newsletters and literary magazines.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute ideas for curriculum improvement.
Qualification and Experience
- Post‑graduate degree in English or related discipline.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory; TET/CTET preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of teaching experience in a recognized school setting.
- Strong command of English language, both written and spoken, and familiarity with contemporary pedagogical tools.
Compensation and Location
- Salary: Rs.25,000 - Rs.30,000 per month.
- Posting location: Thirupparankundram, Madurai, Tamilnadu.
