Role Summary
Royal International School Tamil Nadu invites applications for the position of NTT English Teacher in Tiruchengode, Namakkal, Tamilnadu. As a NTT English Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching English to students in our school, employing innovative and interactive methods to make learning engaging and fun.
Teaching Approach
The Royal International School Tamil Nadu English department adopts a student-centered approach, focusing on developing the language skills of our students. We use a range of practical methods, including role-plays, debates, and group discussions, to encourage active participation and build confidence in our students' English language abilities. Our NTT English Teacher will work closely with colleagues to plan and deliver a comprehensive English curriculum, incorporating various tools and activities to cater to different learning styles.
Day-to-Day Duties
As an NTT English Teacher in Royal International School Tamil Nadu, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Preparing and delivering English lessons to classes, using a range of teaching methods and materials.
- Assessing student progress and adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Maintaining a well-organized and inclusive classroom environment, promoting effective communication and respect among students.
- Collaborating with colleagues to plan and implement departmental events and activities.
- Contributing to the development of English language programs and resources.
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Participating in school events and activities, such as parent-teacher conferences and staff meetings.
- Staying up-to-date with curriculum changes and updates, and implementing them in teaching practices.
- Encouraging students to participate in extracurricular activities, such as English language clubs and literary events.
- Maintaining a positive and supportive attitude towards students, colleagues, and parents.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in English or a related field, and a B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree. A TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of English language and literature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and implementation.
- Experience in teaching English as a second language.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
