Akshara International School is looking for a dedicated PRT Mathematics Teacher to join the team in Namapally. The role focuses on delivering structured lessons for grades 1 to 5, ensuring strong foundational skills in Mathematics. Classroom management and student engagement are key priorities for this full-time position. The teacher will work closely with the academic coordinator to align lesson plans with school standards.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Plan and deliver Mathematics lessons for grades 1 to 5 as per the school curriculum.
2. Use visual aids and activity-based learning to make concepts clear.
3. Conduct regular assessments and provide feedback to students and parents.
4. Maintain attendance records and update progress reports on time.
5. Organize math-related activities and competitions within the school.
6. Prepare students for in-house and external Mathematics assessments.
7. Collaborate with other PRTs to share best practices and resources.
8. Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment for all learners.
9. Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Required Qualifications
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in primary Mathematics.
- Fluency in English and Telugu.
- Valid TET or CTET certificate preferred.
Good to Have
- Experience with Montessori or activity-based teaching methods.
- Familiarity with digital learning tools like smart boards.
- Prior experience in an international or progressive school setting.
