To qualify, the candidate must hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with a science background. A graduation degree in science is mandatory, and prior teaching experience in schools is preferred. TET/CTET certification is not mandatory but highly beneficial for career growth.
