Sr University’s Department of Computer Science in Hasanparthy, Warangal, Telangana, invites applications for the position of PROFESSOR - Web Technologies. What You Will Do
Teach advanced courses in Web Technologies, including Advanced Web Development, Web Services & Microservices, Frontend Frameworks, and Cloud Computing for Web Applications, at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Curriculum design and delivery will align with industry standards and UGC model syllabi for Computer Science.
Lead research in web technologies, focusing on areas like AI-driven web personalization, web security protocols, or decentralized web platforms, and publish findings in Scopus-indexed journals. Supervise doctoral students pursuing research in web technologies, ensuring timely progress and adherence to academic integrity.
Develop and submit research proposals to funding agencies such as DST, SERB, or industry partners to support innovative projects in web technologies. Organize national and international conferences, seminars, and hackathons in collaboration with tech communities in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
Engage with industry partners through consultancy, sponsored projects, and internship programs to bridge the gap between academia and the web technology sector. Contribute to university-level academic committees, including curriculum review boards and research advisory councils.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization in Web Technologies or closely related areas from a recognized university. A minimum of five years of teaching and research experience in a university or reputed research institution is required.
Candidates with post-doctoral research experience in web technologies or related fields will be given preference. Those without a Ph.D. but holding UGC-NET with JRF in Computer Science will not be considered for this position, as per UGC norms for Professor roles.
Research & Publications
Sr University encourages collaborative research with institutions across India and abroad, particularly in areas like web accessibility, performance optimization, and edge computing for web applications. Faculty members have access to internal seed grants and external funding opportunities through DST and MeitY schemes.
Publication expectations include a minimum of 15 Scopus-indexed papers in reputed journals, with at least 5 as first or corresponding author. The department maintains strong ties with IEEE and ACM chapters, facilitating joint research initiatives and co-authored publications.
Ph.D. Supervision
As a PROFESSOR, you will guide doctoral students in their thesis work, from topic selection to final defense, ensuring alignment with current trends in web technologies. You will also serve as an examiner for Ph.D. theses and external reviews for other universities, maintaining high academic standards.
Opportunities exist to co-guide students with faculty from partner universities in the U.S. and Europe under international collaboration programs. Regular progress reviews and research group meetings will support timely completion of doctoral work.
What You Get
The monthly salary for this position ranges from Rs.70,000 to Rs.120,000, as per UGC norms for Professor positions in private universities. Additional benefits include housing rent allowance, medical insurance, and reimbursement for participation in national and international conferences.
Research grants of up to Rs.10 lakh per project are available for approved proposals, along with support for patent filing and technology transfer. Faculty members also receive support for attending workshops and short-term courses to enhance teaching and research skills.
