PGT Geography Teacher Job in West Tripura
This is a full-time position as a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Geography at Pathshala Coaching Center in Sadar, West Tripura. You will be responsible for teaching Geography to high school students, helping shape their understanding of physical, economic, and human geography through engaging lessons and practical activities.
You will plan and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons, use interactive teaching methods, and assess student progress. Geography here isn’t just about maps and textbooks—you’ll incorporate real-world examples, field trips, and multimedia to bring the subject to life. Your role will also include preparing students for board exams, ensuring they grasp key concepts like climate systems, natural resources, and geographical challenges in India and beyond.
To qualify, you must hold a postgraduate degree in Geography or a related field. A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is mandatory, along with a valid Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) certificate. While the institution doesn’t strictly require prior experience in this role, four years of teaching experience—preferably in Geography or related subjects—will be highly valued.
This position expects you to have hands-on experience in designing lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and fostering critical thinking in students. Familiarity with modern teaching tools, educational technology, and student assessment methods will also be beneficial. Your ability to communicate complex geographical concepts clearly and passionately will be key to your success in this role.
The salary for this role is competitive, offering Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 per month, along with standard benefits. The job is based in Sadar, West Tripura, where you’ll teach in a vibrant academic environment focused on coaching students for competitive exams and school-level education. The location offers a mix of urban and semi-urban facilities, making it a practical choice for those seeking a dedicated teaching role in geography.
