Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced PRT Music Teacher to join our faculty at Johns Mary School, a renowned institution in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching music and a strong commitment to student success. As a PRT Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching music to students from grades 1-8.
What You Will Do
1. Plan and deliver music lessons to students from grades 1-8.
2. Develop and implement music curriculum that meets the needs of students.
3. Assess student progress and provide regular feedback.
4. Conduct music performances and events.
5. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music into the curriculum.
6. Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
7. Communicate with parents and students about student progress.
8. Attend staff meetings and professional development workshops.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.
Required Qualifications
Must Have:
- B.Ed/D.El.Ed degree from a recognized institution.
- Good understanding of music theory and pedagogy.
- Experience in teaching music to students from grades 1-8.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good to Have:
- TET/CTET certification.
- Experience in music performance and composition.
- Knowledge of Indian classical music and its various forms.
Preferred Skills
- Strong passion for music and teaching.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive music lessons.
- Familiarity with music technology and software.
- Experience in music curriculum development.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
