Milton Public School invites experienced Science educators to step into a senior-level role shaping the department and guiding students through Grades 1 to 5. This position carries added responsibility for curriculum design, assessment cycles, and mentoring junior staff. The right candidate will oversee Science instruction across primary classes, ensuring alignment with CBSE expectations and age-appropriate learning outcomes. What You Will Do
Develop and deliver a robust Science curriculum for primary classes, integrating hands-on experiments and digital resources suitable for young learners. Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide timely feedback to parents and the leadership team. Collaborate with colleagues to align Science topics with broader school themes and inter-house activities.
Take ownership of Science exhibitions, science fairs, and classroom-based project weeks that showcase student creativity. Mentor newly joined PRT Science Teachers, sharing lesson plans, classroom management techniques, and assessment strategies. Support the Head of Department in reviewing Science textbooks, workbooks, and supplementary materials for relevance and rigor.
Analyze board-aligned Science question papers and recommend improvements to enhance student performance in internal and external evaluations. Conduct parent-teacher meetings focused on Science learning progress and ways to reinforce concepts at home. Organize Science clubs and weekend workshops that extend learning beyond regular timetables.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree with B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized university. A minimum of 5 years of Science teaching experience in primary classes is required. Candidates with TET or CTET certification will be preferred during shortlisting. Familiarity with CBSE Science syllabi for Classes 1 to 5 is essential.
