About This Role
As an integral part of Milton Public School's administration, the Sports Teacher plays a vital role in promoting physical education and sports among students. The ideal candidate will be able to lead by example and inspire students to develop a lifelong love for sports and physical activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement sports programs for students of various age groups, ensuring a safe and engaging experience for all.
- Develop and maintain a physical education curriculum that aligns with Milton Public School's academic goals.
- Coordinate sports events, tournaments, and competitions, both within the school and with other institutions.
- Instruct and train students in various sports, focusing on developing their physical skills and teamwork abilities.
- Maintain a comprehensive record of student participation, progress, and achievements in sports.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate sports into the overall curriculum.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and safety protocols during sports activities.
- Develop and manage budgets for sports programs and equipment.
- Build and maintain relationships with local sports clubs, organizations, and professionals to enhance the school's sports program.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must Have: A graduate degree from a recognized university, B.Ed or D.El.Ed certification, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in sports administration or coaching.
- Good to Have: TET or CTET certification, experience in team management, and proficiency in sports equipment maintenance.
Preferred Skills
- Strong leadership and management skills to motivate students and staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with parents, teachers, and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in conflict resolution and crisis management.
