About This Role
Holy Public School is expanding its senior Science team in Agra. This is a lead position for a TGT Science Teacher with potential to shape the department as Head of Science. The role carries academic ownership, mentorship duties, and direct impact on board results. Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver the TGT Science curriculum for Grades 6 to 10, aligning with CBSE guidelines and local board expectations. Prepare monthly unit plans, practical schedules, and assessment blueprints that reflect the Agra school context. Track student progress through continuous evaluation and mock tests to ensure consistent improvement in Science scores.
Oversee lesson observations and provide constructive feedback to junior Science teachers at Holy Public School. Organize departmental meetings every fortnight to share best practices and address classroom challenges specific to Agra students. Curate a resource bank of locally relevant Science experiments and digital content for classroom use.
Monitor lab equipment maintenance, safety protocols, and stock levels for Science labs at the school. Collaborate with the school’s academic coordinator to set annual Science targets and submit progress reports to the management. Represent the Science department in parent-teacher interactions and school events in Agra.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Science with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory for this Science Teacher Job in Agra. Preference will be given to candidates with CTET or TET certification for Science stream.
At least 2 years of full-time teaching experience in a secondary school, preferably in Uttar Pradesh. NET or SET qualification in Science is desirable for candidates aiming to lead the department at Holy Public School.
