PGT Sociology Teacher Position at Iqra Public School, Aligarh

Monitor student progress regularly to identify strengths and areas needing improvement. Maintain organized classroom materials, including textbooks, handouts, and digital resources, to support effective instruction.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update lesson plans based on the school’s curriculum framework, ensuring alignment with state education boards. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate sociology into interdisciplinary projects, such as social studies or humanities programs. Assess student performance through quizzes, projects, and assignments, documenting feedback for academic guidance. Participate in school-wide events, including guest lectures, workshops, and cultural programs, to promote sociological awareness.
Periodic Responsibilities
Conduct periodic parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress and address any concerns related to sociology-related learning. Review and update teaching methodologies to reflect best practices in sociology education, staying informed about new research and pedagogical trends. Attend mandatory training sessions organized by the school to refine teaching skills and adapt to evolving educational standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Sociology or a related field with at least five years of teaching experience in sociology at the secondary or senior secondary level. Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory for this role. Strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for nurturing sociological curiosity in students are essential. Experience in designing curriculum-based assessments and fostering inclusive classroom environments is highly desirable.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary of Rs.40,000 to Rs.70,000, along with benefits tailored to support a balanced professional and personal life.
