Maintain records of student participation, performance metrics, and progress reports to support their development. Collaborate with the school’s physical education department to align programs with national curriculum guidelines. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and stored to prevent damage or misuse. Supervise outdoor activities, including field trips and sports excursions, ensuring student safety and compliance with health protocols. Train teachers in physical education methods and best practices to enhance their teaching effectiveness. Work closely with the principal and staff to integrate physical education into the broader school ethos, promoting holistic student development. Lead initiatives to encourage a healthy lifestyle among students, including nutrition workshops and wellness programs.
To qualify, hold a postgraduate degree in Physical Education or a related field along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Five years of teaching experience, preferably in Physical Education, is essential. Familiarity with TET/CTET requirements is beneficial but not mandatory. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 45,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
