About This Role
Delhi World Public School is inviting applications for a full-time TGT Yoga Teacher in Kher, Aligarh. The role involves teaching yoga to students from grades 6 to 10, promoting physical and mental well-being. Candidates with one year of relevant experience and a postgraduate degree in Yoga will be considered.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and deliver structured yoga sessions aligned with the school’s curriculum.
Assess students’ flexibility, strength, and breathing techniques through practical evaluations.
Organize weekly yoga assemblies for students and faculty to encourage participation.
Prepare lesson plans that include asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques.
Collaborate with sports and health teachers to integrate yoga into overall fitness programs.
Maintain records of student progress and attendance in yoga classes.
Conduct parent-teacher interactions to share students’ progress in yoga practice.
Participate in school events and workshops to promote the benefits of yoga education.
Required Qualifications
Must Have:
Postgraduate degree in Yoga from a recognized university.
One year of teaching or training experience in yoga for school students.
Good to Have:
B.Ed or D.El.Ed with specialization in Yoga.
TET/CTET certification will be an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
Strong command over Hindi and English for effective communication.
Familiarity with modern yoga teaching methods and traditional Indian practices.
Ability to engage students of different age groups through interactive sessions.
