About This Role
Oxford International School Gajraula seeks a PGT Accountancy Teacher to handle Classes 11-12 accountancy curriculum. The role requires deep subject knowledge and ability to guide students for CBSE exams. Mentoring senior secondary students on commerce streams is a key responsibility.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Plan and deliver 6-7 periods daily covering Accountancy theory and practicals.
2. Prepare detailed lesson plans aligned with CBSE NCERT guidelines.
3. Conduct regular unit tests, mock exams, and viva sessions.
4. Grade answer sheets and maintain accurate academic records.
5. Organize commerce-related activities like quiz competitions and seminars.
6. Assist in organizing school’s commerce fest and inter-house events.
7. Coordinate with subject coordinators for curriculum alignment.
8. Attend monthly staff meetings and professional development sessions.
9. Support school during admission drives and parent-teacher meetings.
Eligibility Criteria
Must Have
Postgraduate degree in Accountancy/Commerce with minimum 55% marks
B.Ed degree from a recognized institution
4 years of teaching experience in senior secondary (Classes 11-12)
Sound knowledge of accounting principles and CBSE syllabus
Ability to explain complex concepts clearly in English and Hindi
Good to Have
CTET/TET qualified
Experience in CBSE school environment
Exposure to digital teaching tools and smart classrooms
Prior involvement in result improvement initiatives
Familiarity with Olympiad and competitive exam coaching
