About This Role
The Computer Lab Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining Sunbeam School’s digital infrastructure. This position ensures smooth day-to-day operations of the computer lab for students and staff. Responsibilities include managing hardware, software, and network connectivity with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update all computers, printers, and peripherals in the lab.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications as needed.
Monitor lab usage and ensure equipment is used responsibly by students.
Assist students and teachers with basic technical queries during lab hours.
Keep inventory of lab assets and report any shortages or damages promptly.
Ensure compliance with Sunbeam School’s IT policies and safety guidelines.
Coordinate with external vendors for repairs and maintenance of lab equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organized layout of the computer lab environment.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in computer hardware, software, or lab management.
Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and common educational software suites.
Knowledge of basic networking and troubleshooting techniques.
Previous experience in a school or educational setting preferred.
Preferred Skills
Strong leadership in guiding students on safe and ethical IT practices.
Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues clearly.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Familiarity with local IT service providers in Azamgarh for quick support.
