Role Summary
Kesari Public School (inter College) invites applications for the position of NTT – Evs Faculty. The role is part of the core science team responsible for teaching Environmental Studies to undergraduate students. Faculty members are expected to deliver engaging lectures, mentor students, and contribute to curriculum design aligned with local and national academic standards.
What You Will Do
Prepare and deliver weekly lectures on Environmental Studies topics including ecology, pollution control, and sustainable development. Use local examples from Azamgarh and surrounding districts to make concepts relatable for students.
Conduct regular tutorial sessions to clarify doubts and reinforce learning outcomes. Monitor student progress and maintain attendance records in coordination with the academic coordinator.
Assist in the design and review of the Evs curriculum to ensure alignment with UGC guidelines and local educational needs. Contribute to the development of practical assignments and field-based projects.
Participate in internal examinations, paper setting, and evaluation as assigned by the department head. Support the examination cell in maintaining transparency and fairness in grading.
Organize guest lectures and seminars on current environmental issues relevant to the region. Collaborate with local NGOs and government agencies for hands-on learning opportunities.
Mentor students in research projects related to environmental conservation and community initiatives. Encourage participation in state-level seminars and competitions.
Maintain updated teaching resources including digital content and reference materials. Attend departmental meetings to discuss academic improvements and student feedback.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline with a minimum of 55% marks. A valid UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, SET, or SLET qualification is mandatory for this position.
A Ph.D. in Environmental Studies will be preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with two years of full-time teaching experience in a college or higher secondary institution will be given preference.
Proficiency in Hindi and English is essential for effective classroom delivery and communication with students and parents.
Academic Projects
Encourage students to undertake small research projects on local environmental challenges such as waste management in Azamgarh city or water conservation in rural areas.
Support students in publishing findings in college journals or presenting at regional seminars. Guide motivated students toward participation in national-level competitions like the Green Olympiad.
Motivate faculty and students to publish articles in regional journals or online platforms. Attend at least one regional or national seminar every academic year to stay updated with emerging trends.
What You Get
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary in the range of Rs.12,000 to Rs.20,000 as per UGC scales for NTT positions. Additional benefits include access to college resources and professional development support.
Faculty members are entitled to leave as per government norms and may be eligible for performance-based increments after review.
