Lead the Biology department, coordinating curriculum design and assessment strategies. Champion the integration of laboratory work and field studies into the daily syllabus. Mentor junior teachers, providing guidance on pedagogical techniques and student engagement. Maintain a high standard of instructional quality across all biology classes.
Core responsibilities
Design and deliver comprehensive biology lessons aligned with state standards. Conduct laboratory experiments, ensuring safety and resource efficiency. Prepare detailed lesson plans, assessment rubrics, and progress reports. Facilitate interdisciplinary projects that connect biology with environmental science and technology. Organize extracurricular science clubs and competitions. Provide individualized support to students needing additional help. Collaborate with parents during meetings to discuss student progress. Attend professional development workshops to stay current with scientific advancements.
What you bring to the table
Post‑graduate degree in Biology or a related field. Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the secondary level. B.Ed. or D.El.Ed required, with TET/CTET preferred. Strong grasp of modern biology concepts and laboratory techniques. Excellent communication and organizational skills, coupled with a passion for student growth.

Compensation and benefits
