Senior faculty leadership required for Kesari Public School (inter College). Candidates must bring eight or more years of college-level Economics teaching and a proven record of academic leadership. Ph.D. holders with Associate Professor or Professor level experience will be preferred.
Job Overview
This is a senior PGT Economics position at Kesari Public School (inter College) in Azamgarh. The selected candidate will lead the Economics department, set academic direction, and mentor junior faculty. Key Responsibilities
Design and update the PGT Economics curriculum to align with UGC and NEP 2020 guidelines. Integrate case studies from local markets and agricultural patterns in Eastern Uttar Pradesh to make learning contextual.
Coordinate internal examinations, moderate question papers, and ensure fair grading as per college policy. Liaise with external examiners for moderation and viva voce sessions.
Guide junior faculty in lesson planning, teaching methodologies, and classroom management. Organize departmental seminars on topics such as GST impact on small traders and rural employment trends.
Encourage students to undertake research projects in areas like microfinance in Azamgarh district and cooperative banking. Publish findings in UGC-CARE listed journals and present at regional conferences.
Who Can Apply
Open to candidates with a Master’s degree in Economics with minimum 55% marks and NET/SET qualification. Ph.D. in Economics is mandatory. Minimum eight years of post-Ph.D. teaching experience in a UGC-recognized college is required.
Prior experience as Associate Professor or Professor in a senior college will be given preference. Experience in curriculum development and exam coordination at PGT level is essential.
Research & Publications
Mentor M.A. and M.Com. students in dissertation writing and data analysis. Guide Ph.D. scholars in thesis preparation and journal submission under UGC-CARE guidelines.
Publish at least two research papers annually in UGC-CARE approved journals. Present papers at national and state-level seminars on Economics education and policy.
Encourage departmental research culture by initiating collaborative projects on regional economic issues. Support faculty to present at conferences and apply for minor research grants.

This role offers clear progression to Head of Department within two years based on performance. Eligible candidates may be considered for Dean (Academics) or Vice-Principal positions after three years.
