Job Overview
Senior leadership is needed for the English department at Kesari Public School (inter College). A seasoned educator with at least 8 years of teaching experience will guide the team. The role involves shaping curriculum, mentoring faculty, and overseeing academic standards in Uttar Pradesh.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and deliver English literature and language courses for undergraduate students. Design semester-wise lesson plans aligned with UGC guidelines and local academic needs. Coordinate internal exams, moderation of question papers, and timely result processing.
Facilitate monthly department meetings to discuss teaching challenges and solutions. Organize workshops for junior faculty on modern pedagogy and classroom management. Maintain records of attendance, assignments, and feedback for each batch.
Encourage students to participate in literary fests, debates, and writing competitions. Liaise with external examiners for university examinations. Encourage research culture by guiding students on project submissions and dissertations.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate in English with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. Ph.D. in English literature or language preferred. Minimum 8 years of full-time teaching experience in a college or university.
NET/SET qualified candidates will be given preference. Experience in curriculum development and exam coordination is essential. Familiarity with UGC norms and NAAC accreditation processes is desirable.
Research & Publications
Guide M.A. and M.Phil. students in their dissertation work. Supervise research projects under Kesari Public School (inter College) guidelines. Publish research papers in UGC-CARE listed journals regularly.
Present papers at national and state-level seminars on English literature and pedagogy. Collaborate with regional colleges for joint research initiatives. Encourage students to publish in college magazines and e-journals.
Learning and Development
Head the English department with responsibility for faculty appraisals and growth plans. Work closely with the Principal on academic policy decisions and resource allocation. Explore opportunities for collaboration with other departments for interdisciplinary projects.
The role offers a pathway to senior administrative positions such as Dean or Vice Principal. Mentor junior faculty and support their professional development through training programs. Participate in college governance committees related to academics and student welfare.
