Role Summary
As a TGT Social Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Social Science subjects to students in classes 6-8, designing engaging lesson plans, and assessing student progress. You will also contribute to the school's curriculum development and participate in staff meetings to discuss important issues and share best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver lesson plans for Social Science subjects that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance student engagement and motivation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary projects and activities.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the school's curriculum.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Develop and implement assessments to evaluate student learning.
- Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences to keep parents informed about their child's progress.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, you must have a B.Ed/D.El.Ed degree, and a post-graduate degree in Social Science or a related field. A valid TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. We're looking for a teacher with at least 2 years of experience in teaching Social Science subjects, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of students.
