About This Role
As a key member of the Sunbeam School administration team, the Transport Incharge plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of school transportation services. This leadership opportunity involves overseeing the entire transportation system, from bus routes and schedules to staff management and safety protocols. Reporting to the Principal of Sunbeam School, the Transport Incharge will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of safety, punctuality, and discipline in school transportation services.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Supervise and manage a team of transport staff, including bus drivers, conductors, and attendants.
- Plan and coordinate bus routes, schedules, and timetables to ensure efficient transportation services.
- Monitor and maintain the condition of school buses, ensuring they are clean, well-maintained, and comply with safety regulations.
- Handle student and parent queries related to transportation services, resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
- Develop and implement safety protocols, including emergency evacuation procedures and first aid training for transport staff.
- Maintain accurate records of student transportation, including attendance, routes, and bus assignments.
- Collaborate with the school administration to develop and implement policies and procedures for school transportation services.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing school transportation in Uttar Pradesh.
- Conduct regular inspections of school buses to ensure they meet safety and maintenance standards.
Who Can Apply
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess a graduate degree from a recognized university and have at least 2 years of experience in a similar transportation management role. While a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is not required, a TET or CTET certification is desirable but not essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
