You will assess student progress, create engaging lesson plans, and maintain a safe, inclusive environment for learning. Additionally, you will organize workshops, competitions, and open rehearsals to showcase student talent and encourage participation. Preparing students for local and regional performances will be a key part of your role, alongside maintaining up-to-date teaching materials and equipment. You will also collaborate with the principal and arts coordinator to plan annual cultural programs, ensuring they reflect Gd Goenka School’s commitment to holistic education.
To excel in this position, you must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with at least two years of teaching experience in dance or related subjects. A passion for traditional and modern dance forms, combined with expertise in curriculum development, will be essential. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, a strong background in pedagogy and a deep understanding of student development will be highly valued.
