Professional Scope
St. Andrews School invites a seasoned PRT Art And Craft Teacher to enrich the creative learning journey of our students. The role focuses on nurturing artistic skills, fostering creative expression, and integrating art into the broader curriculum.
Most Important Responsibilities
The teacher will design and deliver engaging art and craft lessons, assess student progress, and maintain a vibrant classroom environment. Coordination with co‑ordinators for inter‑disciplinary projects and participation in school exhibitions are key duties.
Subject‑Specific Duties
Daily instruction will cover painting, sketching, sculpture, and craft techniques suitable for various age groups. The teacher will prepare materials, guide students through project phases, and showcase finished works in school displays. Emphasis on cultural heritage and contemporary art trends will be maintained.
Institutional Expectations
St. Andrews School expects a teacher who can inspire curiosity, maintain discipline, and collaborate with colleagues. Timely preparation of lesson plans, accurate record keeping, and constructive feedback to students are mandatory. The teacher should also contribute to extracurricular art clubs and community outreach events.
Qualification and Experience
Candidates must hold a post‑graduate degree, B.Ed or D.El.Ed, with at least 2 years of teaching experience. TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. A portfolio of past work and evidence of creative teaching methods will be considered.
