Maintain a structured classroom environment, addressing student queries and encouraging participation through discussions and group activities. Monitor student progress in Social Science subjects and provide constructive feedback to help them excel.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Coordinate with the Social Science department to align teaching strategies with broader school initiatives, such as cultural fairs or awareness campaigns. Participate in weekly planning meetings to refine lesson plans and assess teaching effectiveness. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate Social Science themes into interdisciplinary projects, like school events or field trips. Ensure compliance with the school’s policies on assessment and grading, applying fair and transparent evaluation methods.
Periodic Responsibilities
Attend termly in-service training sessions to update teaching skills and explore new pedagogical techniques. Prepare and submit periodic reports on student performance and classroom observations for review by the principal. Participate in school-level competitions or exhibitions related to Social Science, such as essay writing or model-making contests, to enhance student engagement.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with at least two years of teaching experience in Social Science. A TET or CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. A graduate degree in Social Science, History, Geography, or a related field is essential. Strong communication skills and a deep understanding of Uttar Pradesh’s cultural and historical background are highly valued.
Salary and Location
