Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a structured physical education curriculum tailored to students’ developmental stages and skill levels.
2. Organize and lead daily sports sessions, ensuring safety standards are met and equipment is used efficiently.
3. Assess students’ physical fitness through standardized tests and provide personalized feedback to improve performance.
4. Collaborate with school administration to integrate sports programs into the broader academic and extracurricular calendar.
5. Maintain a well-stocked and organized sports facility, including gym equipment, courts, and fields, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
6. Participate in inter-school competitions and represent the school in sports events, demonstrating professionalism and team spirit.
7. Train and supervise junior staff or volunteers assisting with sports activities during school hours.
8. Stay updated on the latest trends in physical education, including sports science and injury prevention techniques.
9. Prepare lesson plans that combine physical activity with educational benefits, such as teamwork and goal-setting.
10. Act as a mentor to students, encouraging healthy lifestyles and lifelong participation in sports.
The role requires a postgraduate degree in Physical Education or a related field, along with 4 years of teaching experience, particularly in physical education. While formal certifications like TET/CTET are preferred, they are not mandatory for this position. The salary for this role is Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 40,000 per month, depending on qualifications and contributions.
